BRIEF: Aintree Racecourse, a Jockey Club Racecourse, wanted to add a new dimension to their traditional Ladies Day at the Grand National Festival. Working with the Aintree team, we created the concept, managed and delivered the Grand Women’s Summit – a conference on gender balance in sport, and the first event of its kind to happen in horseracing.

STRATEGY: Secured a panel of high profile speakers. Drip fed announcements to the press of the panel in order to drive pre-event media coverage, awareness and sales to the conference. Worked with various women’s and sport networks to help drive attendance.

RESULTS: 120 men and women attended – event sold out. Raised the profile of Aintree Racecourse as a thought leader, sporting innovator and as a powerful voice in sport. Generated 23 pieces of press coverage including Channel 4 Racing, BBC Five Live, Racing UK, BBC North West and The Times.
