Free PR health checks

Recently rebranded sports consultancy Rochester PR & Marketing has announced today that it has launched Rochester Women, focussing on sportswomen and female teams.

In addition to its sporting, rural, equestrian and horseracing portfolio, the award winning Wiltshire based consultancy has created Rochester Women providing PR and marketing solutions to Women’s sport.

Furthermore, to celebrate Women in Sport Week (1-7 June) and its launch, Rochester Women, which is located in Marlborough, is offering free PR & Social media health-checks to any female team or sportswomen or brands looking to engage or are already invested in Women’s Sport. These can be conducted over the phone or by meeting in person if viable across June.

Founder and company director Harriet Rochester commented:

“Sport was the stage for a women’s rights breakthrough at The Epsom Derby over 100 years ago, but generations later, it doesn’t appear to be providing women with a level playing field, bar a handful of sports.

The gap in prize money and investment via sponsorship for women is behind that of men. For women’s sport to achieve a similar level, the abundance of talent within female sport needs to be showcased via the media to help raise profiles and reach new audiences. Furthermore, Women’s sports needs to be presented dynamically visually in order to increase their appeal to rights holders and sponsors. With Rochester Women we aim to deliver just this.

“Women in Sport week is a fantastic initiative and we are delighted to support it and I encourage sportswomen or teams from any sphere to get in touch with us so we can provide them with some helpful PR and social media tactics”.
