Heavenly start for Chelsea Thoroughbreds

Horseracing came to the heart of SW3 last night for the launch of Chelsea Thoroughbreds, London’s new racehorse ownership venture. To mark the launch a racehorse; Carry On Sydney was paraded in front of 300 guests at St Luke’s Church in Sydney Street, Chelsea.

Guests, arrived on the red ‘carpet’ into the church grounds, which had been transformed into a racecourse paddock for the club’s launch party.

James Ramsden, founder of Chelsea Thoroughbreds pictured with Carry On Sydney and Cam Hardie, Richard Hannon’s apprentice jockey who is wearing the white and blue Chelsea Thoroughbreds silks, says;

“Chelsea Thoroughbreds has been blessed this evening with fantastic weather – and it’s got off to a flyer, Carry on Sydney has certainly been a eye catcher in paddock tonight and attracted plenty of interest in this exciting ownership venture”.

Chelsea Thoroughbreds aims to have between six and 10 racehorses for the 2015 flat season with the country’s leading trainers Richard Hannon, Andrew Balding, Charlie Hills, Ralph Beckett and Brian Meehan. It will provide its owners with a friendly but exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ ownership experience, combined with success on the racecourse.

Chelsea based James Ramsden is from a renowned horseracing family and has enjoyed considerable success as an owner. Fellow club founder Richard Morecombe, who lives in London, has a huge passion for horseracing and owns racehorse’s and has had over 125 winners on the racecourse.
