Britain’s greatest ever gymnast, Beth Tweddle MBE has been confirmed as the fourth panelist at The Grand Women’s Summit, to be held at Aintree Racecourse, Friday 10 April on Ladies Day of the Crabbie’s Grand National.

Beth is announced as the fourth panel member at the first Grand Women’s Summit hosted by Aintree Racecourse and Women in Racing.  The triple world champion will join previously confirmed panelist’s; Rose Paterson, Chairman of Aintree Racecourse, Dr Denise Barrett-Baxendale MBE, CEO of Everton Football Club (EFC) in the Community and Deputy CEO of EFC and British Horseracing Authority (BHA) Chairman, Steve Harman.

Following the panel discussion, Katie Walsh, the most successful lady jockey in the history of the race and Crabbie’s Grand National Ambassador, will host a course walk around the famous Aintree fences.

Beth’s achievements include triple World Champion, six-time European Champion, Commonwealth Champion and seven times consecutive National Champion. Along with her unrivalled success Beth has competed at three Olympic Games and won Bronze in the Uneven Bars at London 2012.

Beth commented; “Living in Liverpool, the Grand National has always been an annual sporting highlight for me and I’m lucky enough to have been quite a few times. I’m honoured to be part of The Grand Women’s Summit; as a sportswoman, and now businesswoman, I’m keen to help promote and encourage more women into both sport and business. I also received funding and bursaries to help further my career, so it’s fantastic to see that money is being made available to support career development for women in horseracing”.

Furthermore, Women in Racing will be making a special bursary award.  Members of Women in Racing can apply for an award of up to £2,000 to help support their career development within horseracing.

Men and women are welcome to attend the Grand Women’s Summit. Tickets cost £70 for WiR members and £99 for guests.  Tickets bought before 30 January 2015 are discounted to £65 for WiR members and £95 respectively.  The ticket includes a Champagne reception and breakfast, The Grand Women’s Summit, race day admission to Ladies Day in the Earl of Derby and Lord Sefton enclosures and a course walk with Katie Walsh, as well as a further opportunity to network throughout the day.
